Jaguars Get One Back Against Jarvis Christian
San Antonio, TX- Texas A&M–San Antonio delivered a balanced offensive effort and steady defensive play in its matchup with Jarvis Christian College, leaning on strong guard play and timely rebounding to control the game from start to finish.
Antwone Gonzales and Dezmon Dudley powered the Jaguars offensively, each scoring 25 points. Gonzales was efficient from the perimeter, knocking down 3-of-7 from three-point range and finishing 8-of-17 from the field, while also adding five rebounds and a steal in 30 minutes of action. Dudley was relentless attacking the rim, converting 15-of-15 from the free-throw line and dishing out four assists while playing a team-high 35 minutes.
Felix Greif provided a strong inside presence, scoring 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting and pulling down six rebounds, including three on the offensive glass. Joseph Taylor contributed across the stat sheet with eight points, seven rebounds, three assists, and a block, while Carson Brown added eight points and five rebounds off the bench.
Defensively, A&M–San Antonio spread its effort throughout the lineup. Xzavier Brown recorded two blocks and five rebounds, while Dudley and Gonzales combined for three steals to help limit Jarvis Christian's rhythm.
The Jaguars' depth also showed, with Paul Minjoth scoring seven points, including a three-pointer, and Blake Petty adding a point and two rebounds in limited minutes.
