A&M–San Antonio Rolls Past University of the Southwest, 81–68

San Antonio, TX- Texas A&M–San Antonio used a balanced scoring effort and a dominant night in the paint to power past the University of the Southwest (N.M.), earning an 81–68 home victory on Saturday night.

The Jaguars controlled the tempo from the opening tip, shooting 45.1% from the field and piling up 48 points in the paint. A&M–San Antonio also showcased its depth, with the bench pouring in 46 points, a key factor in keeping momentum through both halves.

Fotis Hristopoulos turned in one of the strongest performances of the evening, recording 16 points and 12 rebounds, going 6-of-10 from the field. Antwone Gonzales added 12 points, while Dezmon Dudley and Joseph Taylor each chipped in 11. Taylor provided an early spark by hitting three first-half triples, helping the Jaguars build a 47–41 halftime lead.

Carson Brown (10 points, 6 rebounds) and  Felix Greif (10 points) rounded out a deep scoring chart for TAMUSA, which saw six players finish in double figures.

On the other side, USW was led by Kevin Boone's 16 points, followed by EJay Scroggins' 15-point, 14-rebound double-double. Isaac Warhurst also reached double digits with 13 points, including four made threes in the first half.

The Mustangs struggled to find consistent offense after halftime, shooting just 28% from the floor in the second period. TAMUSA's defense tightened as well, forcing 14 turnovers and limiting USW to a single made three-pointer after the break.

A&M–San Antonio never trailed in the second half, stretching the lead to as many as 16 and maintaining control through strong rebounding—50 boards to USW's 44—and efficient free-throw shooting (83.3%).
