Brandon Goes Off, Helping Jaguars Cruise Past USW

Hobbs, NM- Texas A&M–San Antonio put together a dominant performance on both ends of the floor Friday, cruising to a 108–55 win over Southwest behind a standout game from Hailee Brandon

The Jaguars jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, steadily building separation each quarter while forcing turnovers and converting in transition. A&M-San Antonio led by as many as 56 points in the contest and reached the 100-point mark midway through the fourth quarter.

Brandon scored 29 points to lead the Jaguars, and Emily Carranco provided a spark offensively, as well, knocking down multiple three-pointers and converting at the free-throw line, while Maya Simon consistently set the tempo and facilitated the offense with a team-high assist total. Imani McCray made her presence felt on both ends, finishing through contact in the paint while also contributing steals, rebounds and assists.

Jada Turner was active on the glass throughout the game, pulling down multiple offensive rebounds and scoring on second-chance opportunities, while Hailee Brandon added scoring and defensive pressure off the bench. Patience Grey and Kiani Rojas also provided strong minutes late as the Jaguars continued to extend the lead with efficient ball movement.

Defensively, A&M–San Antonio forced frequent turnovers and limited Southwest's scoring chances, particularly in the second half. The Jaguars recorded several steals that led directly to layups, turning defense into offense and keeping momentum firmly on their side.

Texas A&M–San Antonio shot efficiently from the field and from beyond the arc, while outscoring Southwest decisively in the paint and on fast-break opportunities.

The Jaguars will look to carry the momentum from Thursday's commanding win into their next matchup as they continue conference play.
