Jaguars Surge Late To Beat UNT-Dallas

San Antonio, TX- Texas A&M–San Antonio used a dominant second half to secure an 82–75 home victory over the University of North Texas–Dallas at The Jaguar Den. After trailing 35–29 at halftime, the Jaguars exploded for 53 points in the second half to pull away and earn the conference win.

Carson Brown led TAMUSA with 22 points, hitting seven field goals and going 7-for-8 at the free-throw line. Dezmond Dudley followed closely behind, powering his way to 20 points while attacking the rim and converting 12 of 16 free-throw attempts.

The Jaguars also received strong performances from their starting group. Felix Grief added 10 points and five rebounds, while Xzavier Brown recorded an impactful 10 rebounds, four steals and two blocks, helping TAMUSA control key defensive stretches. Joseph Taylor chipped in nine points, all coming from behind the arc.

A&M–San Antonio's pressure forced North Texas–Dallas into 15 turnovers, which the Jaguars converted into 15 points, sparking multiple second-half runs. TAMUSA also dominated transition play with 21 fast-break points compared to NTD's nine. Off the bench, Antwone Gonzales provided an early lift with six points, while the Jaguar reserves combined for 34 points, another major factor in the comeback win.

Despite trailing for portions of the game, the Jaguars found their rhythm after the break, shooting 16-of-31 in the second half and drawing frequent trips to the free-throw line, where they finished 25-for-35.

NTD was led by Greg Crawford's 22 points and 10 rebounds and Sedric Curry Jr.'s 16-point, 10-rebound double-double, but the Trailblazers couldn't slow the Jaguars once the momentum shifted.
