Jaguars Roll to 5–1 Win Over North American

San Antonio, TX- The Texas A&M University–San Antonio women's soccer team closed out their regular season home slate in style Saturday afternoon, cruising past North American University with a decisive 5–1 victory at home.

The Jaguars wasted no time setting the tone, scoring just over a minute into the match when Jasmin Dominguez finished off a pass from Ana Barragán for the early 1–0 lead. The duo continued to wreak havoc on the North American defense throughout the first half, combining for several dangerous attacks that kept the visitors on their heels.

In the 19th minute, Dominguez turned provider, assisting Avry Scott, who doubled the lead with a composed finish. Barragán then found the back of the net twice before halftime—first in the 30th minute off an assist from Scott, and again in the 41st minute with a perfectly placed strike—to complete a dominant first-half performance and send the Jaguars into the break leading 4–0.

North American got on the board in the 63rd minute with a goal from Emily Aguayo, assisted by Genevieve Colon, but A&M–San Antonio quickly responded. Just five minutes later, Barragán converted a penalty kick to complete her hat trick and restore the four-goal margin.

Barragán finished with three goals and one assist, while Dominguez added a goal and an assist, and Scott contributed a goal and an assist of her own. The Jaguars outshot the Stallions 20–8, including an 11–3 edge in shots on goal.

Goalkeepers Isabella Villarreal and Vendela Lantz split time in net, each recording a save while holding North American to a single goal.

The win lifts the Jaguars to 5–9–2 overall and 4–5–1 in conference play, while North American falls to 1–15–1 on the season. A&M–San Antonio now turns its attention to a key road match against Our Lady of the Lake University.
