Barragan Captures RRAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

WACO, Texas – Ana Barragan of Texas A&M University-San Antonio claimed the RRAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award for Sept. 25-Oct. 1, while Madison Salas of LSU Shreveport (La.) was named the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates. This is the sixth set of conference awards for the 2023 women's soccer season.

Barragan scored six goals in a 1-0-1 week for the Jaguars. The sophomore forward from Brownsville, Texas, found the net five times in an 8-1 win over Paul Quinn College (Texas) on Thursday. Barragan also accounted for TAMUSA's lone goal to salvage a 1-1 tie with University of the Southwest (N.M.). She is currently second in conference scoring with nine goals. The Jaguars moved up to 3-1-2 in conference play and 4-1-2 overall.
