Lewis, Jaguars Prove To Be Too Much For OLLU
San Antonio, TX- Aniyah Lewis scored 20 points and helped Texas A&M–San Antonio pull away in the second half as the Jaguars defeated Our Lady of the Lake 67–51 on Monday night.
Lewis shot efficiently throughout the game, connecting on 9 field goals, including two 3-pointers, while playing a team-high 31 minutes. She also contributed defensively with two steals and two blocks, helping the Jaguars maintain control on both ends of the floor.
A&M–San Antonio led 36–25 at halftime before extending the margin with a strong third quarter. The Jaguars outscored the Saints 16–13 in the third and continued to apply pressure defensively in the final period to seal the win.
The Jaguars' defense limited Our Lady of the Lake to just 51 points, forcing turnovers and preventing consistent scoring runs. TAMUSA's balanced attack and rebounding effort kept the Saints from closing the gap late.
With the victory, the Jaguars continue to build momentum as they move forward through the RRAC schedule.
