Men's Soccer Wins Thriller

San Antonio, TX- The Jaguar men's soccer team earned a gritty 1–0 victory over A&M–Victoria on Thursday afternoon at home, with senior midfielder Clever Sibomana delivering the game-winner in the final minute of regulation.

The match remained scoreless deep into the second half as both defenses held firm. Jaguar goalkeeper Dominic Pena turned away two shots on goal, while A&M–Victoria's Tyler Kaeppeli made a pair of second-half saves to keep his side in contention.

After 89 minutes of tense, physical play that featured 27 combined fouls and a pair of yellow cards, the breakthrough came with just three seconds left on the clock. Ronald Aguilar slipped a pass into space and found Sibomana inside the box. Sibomana buried the chance to put the Jaguars ahead 1–0 at the 89:57 mark.

The late strike capped a strong offensive showing for A&M–San Antonio, which outshot the Jaguars' system and conference rivals 12–5 and held a 10–1 advantage in corner kicks. Aguilar led the attack with three shots and an assist, while Christian Guerrero and Oscar Hernandez each tested the keeper with shots on goal.

Defensively, Andres Rodriguez, Eduardo Hernandez, and Nicholas Beach anchored the back line, limiting A&M–Victoria to just two shots on frame. The visitors' best chance came in the 12th minute when Jack Dibble's effort was saved by Peña.

With the win, Texas A&M–San Antonio improves to 9–3–1 overall and 6–3 in league play, while A&M–Victoria drops to 7–8–1 (3–5–1). The Jaguars continue their home stand this weekend as they host North American University for Senior Day.
