Men's Soccer Dominates Texas College

Tyler, TX- The Jaguar men's soccer team dominated from start to finish on Thursday afternoon, routing Texas College 9–1 in a conference matchup behind a flurry of first-half goals and a standout performance from several offensive players.

The Jaguars exploded for eight goals in the first half, putting the game out of reach before halftime. Nicholas Beach opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and from there, the onslaught began. Ronald Aguilar scored twice (20th and 23rd minutes) and added three assists, factoring into five of A&M–San Antonio's nine goals. Miguel Leite also had a stellar outing, netting a hat trick with goals in the 25th, 31st, and 84th minutes, plus two assists.

Oscar Hernandez joined in with a first-half hat trick of his own, striking in the 34th, 35th, and 40th minutes. His first two goals came less than two minutes apart, helping the Jaguars build an insurmountable 8–1 lead before the break.

Texas College's lone bright spot came in the 36th minute when Yasser Hamrerras scored to make it 7–1, but it was far too little to stop the momentum of the visitors.

The second half slowed considerably as A&M–San Antonio rotated players and managed the clock, but Leite's late strike—assisted by Khai Knowels—capped off the 9–1 victory.

In total, the Jaguars outshot Texas College 17–1, with 14 shots on goal to the home team's one. Texas College goalkeeper Alan Garcia was busy all day, making five saves despite conceding nine goals. A&M–San Antonio keeper Dominic Pena faced only one shot and allowed the single goal.

With the win, Texas A&M–San Antonio improves to 5–3–0, while Texas College drops to 0–8–0 on the season.
